Welcome to the City of Evansville, Indiana.

Evansville is the third largest city in Indiana with hometown values at its core. Situated alongside the beautiful Ohio River, Evansville originated in 1812 and has been on the move ever since. Elected in 2011, Mayor Lloyd Winnecke is proud to serve as a voice for Evansville’s approximately 120,000 citizens.

Evansville offers a vast variety of interesting home pagethings to do and see. The city is the regional hub for health care services, shopping, entertainment, the arts and cultural activities. The community is honored to be home to the University of Evansville, the University of Southern Indiana and Ivy Tech Community College, and corporate headquarters for Accuride Corp., Berry Plastics, Old National Bank, Vectren Corp., Shoe Carnival and Springleaf Financial.

When it comes to fun, Evansville has more than enough to satisfy anyone. We have multiple annual events cultural celebrations that draw huge crowds and offer something for the whole family, such as the West Side Nut Club Fall Festival, Frog Follies, Shriners Fest, Fiesta Evansville and Family Day in the Park. The city is the proud home for the Evansville Thunderbolts, the newest team to join the Southern Professional Hockey League (SPHL). Evansville Thunderbolts will play its inaugural 2016-2017 season at the beautiful Ford Center, an 11,000-seat entertainment complex in the center of the downtown business district. We are equally proud to host the Frontier League professional baseball team Evansville Otters at historic Bosse Field, the third oldest baseball park in the country still being used for professional baseball games.  home page
