The Youth Alcohol Program is a 120-day program for those arrested for Violation of the Liquor Law, which can include under-aged possession, consumption, or transporting of alcohol, minor entering a tavern, or using false I.D. to obtain alcohol.  This offender is also assessed and required to complete the recommended education, counseling, or treatment and aftercare.  The fee is $155.00, with the $25.00 State deferral fee also added.  The candidates for this program are found guilty and sentenced to 10 days in jail, but the sentence is suspended on the condition that they complete the Youth Alcohol Program.  Upon successful completion, the offense is dismissed by the Prosecutor, with no jail or fines.
