POSITION: Construction Maintenance Supervisor
RATE: $54,050.00 annually

FULL TIME
Duties:

Supervises the personnel and operations of the Construction Crew. Responsible for repairing existing sewer lines in the Wastewater Collection System. Prepares the annual Construction Maintenance budget. Reports to the Collection System Manager. Coordinates with the City Engineer on new construction. Pre-inspects job sites to determine the scope of work, inspects work while in progress and at completion, and prepares field drawings of work performed. Reviews construction maintenance job requirements and arranges for line location and blue-staking, and ensures necessary construction and safety equipment is available for any Construction Maintenance projects.

Qualifications:

Bachelor of Science degree in civil or sanitary engineering is desirable. Five (5) years experience in the construction, maintenance, and operation of sanitary sewers and lift stations including two (2) years in a supervisory capacity or any combination of experience and education that meets the minimum requirements may be substituted. An Indiana Grade CS-IV Collection System License is preferred. Thorough knowledge of local, state, federal laws and regulations pertaining to line cleaning, lift station maintenance, combined sewer overflows, heavy equipment operation, and confined space, highway, and work safety procedures. Any combination of training, education and experience that provides the knowledge skills and ability to perform the functions of this position will be considered.
