Youth Alcohol Program

The Youth Alcohol Program began in 1985 as a deferred sentencing program. Upon successful completion the offense is dismissed by the Prosecutor.

Youth Alcohol Program

  • A 120-day program for those youths arrested for Violation of the Liquor Law, which can include under-aged possession, consumption, or transporting of alcohol, minor entering a tavern, or using false I.D. to obtain alcohol.
  • This offender is also assessed and required to complete the recommended education, counseling, or treatment and aftercare.
  • The fee is $155.00, plus an additional $25.00 State deferral fee.
  • The candidates for this program are found guilty and sentenced to 10 days in jail, but the sentence is suspended on the condition that they complete the Youth Alcohol Program.

Upon successful completion, the offense is dismissed by the Prosecutor, with no jail or fines.
