Posted Date: 6/19/2017

Tips on how to reduce your home energy utility bill will be offered at a Special Traveling City Hall meeting on Saturday, June 24, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Eastland Mall. The meeting will be located inside the mall concourse at the JC Penney entrance.

A representative with CLEAResult, a leading national energy efficiency services company, will present information on Vectren’s Home Energy Assessment Program and the Income Qualified Weatherization Program. Homeowners will be able to register for a free home assessment and see if they qualify for weatherization services.

The meeting will begin with introductions and public services announcement by Mayor Lloyd Winnecke, followed by a presentation on lowering residential energy bills. Drawings will be held throughout the meeting to give away free gift cards redeemable at Eastland Mall stores. Individuals must be present to win. Free items promoting the “e is for everyone” community branding campaign will also available.

The next Traveling City Hall meeting will be held on Wednesday, July 26, from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the shelter house at Garvin Park. The meeting will feature a presentation on WGU Indiana. A limited number of free tickets will be given away to watch the Evansville Otters take on the Travers City Beach Bums that night at Bosse Field.
