Laptop Users - NetMotion has been installed on all enterprise laptops - No additional VPN is necessary. However, make sure to log onto the laptop while it is connected to the network before taking it home.
If you have an enterprise laptop no further action is necessary on your part.
Please note the following before working remotely:
- You will need to know the name of your work computer. This should be on a label on the PC.
- Your enterprise desktop MUST be powered on. You should restart your PC before leaving, but do not power it down. You can power off your monitors.
- The Help Desk will NOT troubleshoot issues with your home device.
Your supervisor will let you know if you are permitted to work from home during the CoVID-19 health situation.
Desktop Users - To work from home using a Windows PC you must first install the VPN client. Once you have installed the VPN client you will then remotely access your Civicnet PC. First, if not already connected, connect the VPN. Then access your work PC .
To use an Apple device follow these instructions.
If instructed to do so, you can forward your desk phone to a personal number (cell or landline) by following the following instructions.
