POSITION: Maintenance/Master Mechanic
RATE: $23.53 per hour/$24.88 per hour upon completion of Master Mechanic training program
DEPARTMENT: Water Filtration
FULL TIME
DUTIES:

Maintains buildings, grounds and performs routine housekeeping.  Completes work orders for maintenance performed and assigned.  General maintenance on pumps, valves, boilers, chemical feed equipment, filters and buildings.  Inspects water towers and performs maintenance at the booster stations.  Performs and records preventative and predictive maintenance.  Maintains clean and safe work environment.  Inspects, maintains and troubleshoots flow meter devices in treatment processes.  Directs, receives, and unloads chemical shipments safely to designated storage areas.  Performs other duties as assigned and assists other employees as required.  Works any shift, overtime, weekends, and holidays as required.  Must be able and agreeable to work a reasonable amount of overtime weekly.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Associates degree in Industrial Maintenance or related field from an accredited school or completed apprenticeship program in a maintenance related trade is preferred.  Three (3) year’s work experience in industrial maintenance may substitute for the degree or apprenticeship requirements.  Must complete the EWSU Maintenance Employee Training Program within eighteen (18) months of employment.  Upon successful completion the employee will become a Master Mechanic at the appropriate hourly rate.  Incumbent is encouraged to pass the State WT-5 examination to become a certified water treatment plant operator.  Must possess and maintain a valid Driver’s License.
