POSITION: Supervisor II RATE: $51,383.00 annually
DEPARTMENT: Street Maintenance FULL TIME

DUTIES:

Performs assigned supervisory duties at the Street Maintenance Department in the maintenance and repair of streets, highways, easements, right-of-ways, ditches and storm sewers. Receives work orders and set priorities. Orders and coordinates delivery or pick-up of materials and supplies. Assigns crews or equipment for work tasks. Oversees on-site inspections prior to, during and following the work progress at the job locations. Advises personnel on safety and operating procedures prior to and during work performance. Maintains required records. Reviews and accounts for materials and supplies received. Advises assigned employees on necessary repairs of equipment. Reviews and approves time records of assigned employees. Reports all accidents and injuries. Acts as Superintendent in his/her absence. Works all shifts and overtime as required. Perform other duties as assigned and assist other employees as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred; will consider applicants without diploma based upon experience demonstrating required abilities and skills. Incumbent should possess a full range of practices, rules, regulations and techniques developed through on-the-job training and extended experience in construction or related field and a minimum of one year supervisory experience with knowledge of heavy equipment operation. Mechanical aptitude or experience is helpful. Incumbent must be able to use and train all personnel on equipment utilized by the department. Must possess a valid Driver’s License.
