Pier and Pylon Inspection
Pier and pylon inspections are made by observing a sampling of piers during drilling operations and reviewing inspection records for each pier.
Post Hole Footing Inspection
Post hole footing inspections are made after excavations for post frame members are complete and before concrete is placed.
Concrete Footing Inspection
Footing inspections are made after excavations for footings are complete and any required reinforcing steel is in place.
Concrete Foundation Inspection
Concrete foundation inspections are made after all required forms are in place and any required reinforcing steel is in place. Applicable crawl space grade and drainage systems should be in place before inspection.
Masonry Foundation Inspection
Masonry foundation inspections are made after all required masonry is installed and any required reinforcing steel is in place and grouted. Applicable crawl space grade and drainage systems should be in place before inspection.
Retaining Wall Inspection
Retaining wall inspections are made after the wall is completed.
Concrete Slab Inspection
Concrete slab inspections are made after in-slab or under-floor reinforcing steel and building service equipment, conduit, piping accessories and other ancillary equipment items are in place, but before any concrete is placed or floor sheathing installed, including the subfloor.
Frame Inspection
Framing inspections are made after the roof deck or sheathing, all framing, flashing, fire-blocking, and bracing are in place and pipes, chimneys and vents to be concealed are complete and the rough electrical, plumbing, heating wires, pipes and ducts are approved.
Fire/Smoke-Resistant Penetration Inspection
Fire and smoke-resistant penetration inspections are made after the protection of joints and penetrations in fire-resistance-rated assemblies are completed.
Ceiling Grid Inspection
Ceiling grid inspections are made after grid work is installed, applicable ties and seismic reinforcement is installed, and before acoustical ceiling tile is installed.
Building Envelope Inspection
Building envelope inspections are made after building envelope insulation, fenestration, and required air barriers are complete.
Building Final
The building final inspections are made after all work required by the building permit, including means of egress and required accessibility components, are completed.
