May Traveling City Hall to feature Boom Squad, Inc. and Summer Grill with e is for everyone

(May 13, 2019) Boom Squad, Inc. will host the May Traveling City Hall meeting on Wednesday, May 29, at the Boom Squad headquarters located at 800 S. Evans Ave. The meeting will feature a Summer Grill presented by “e is for everyone” and the Evansville Department of Parks and Recreation.

The public will have an opportunity to learn about the “e” community initiative and some of the exciting activities planned this summer to promote the “e is for everyone” brand. The Boom Squad drum line will perform and share information on the 6th Annual BoomFest End of School Year Carnival to be held on June 11-15. The carnival will feature performances by multiple drum lines, and new this year will be Pop-Up Shops by local vendors.

Volunteers with “e” will be grilling hot dogs and hamburgers for Traveling City Hall participants. Chips, cookies and bottled water will be provide by the Parks Department. A limited quantity of food will be available along with “e is for everyone” giveaways, while supplies last. Mayor Lloyd Winnecke and city department heads will be available to talk one-on-one with city residents about any issue involving local government. The event is free and open to everyone.

A special Traveling City Hall will be held on Saturday, June 22, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Eastland Mall featuring information on the 2020 Census. The public is encouraged to attend to learn about the importance of an accurate and complete census count, and the impact the census will have on future funding for the City of Evansville.
