3.30.099 Metropolitan Evansville Transit System Department

(A) There is hereby created the Metropolitan Evansville Transit System Department as a Department of the Division of Transportation and Services.

(B) The Department shall be headed by a Manager who shall be appointed by the Mayor and who shall serve at the pleasure of the Mayor. The Manager shall report to the Director of the Division of Transportation and Services.

(C) The Department shall be responsible for the operation and management of the city transit system.

(D) The Division of Transportation and Services does hereby assume all legal obligations heretofore incurred by the Evansville Transit Board.
