Local Development Projects Receive Statewide Recognition
(October 1, 2019) — Two local affordable housing projects received awards at this year's Indiana Housing Conference.
Carpenter Court was selected as the 2019 Lieutenant Governor's Excellence in Affordable Housing award winner in the Urban category.
Silver Birch of Evansville assisted living facility won the same award in the Senior category.
The awards recognize achievement, creativity and leadership in the affordable housing industry throughout the state.
Mayor Lloyd Winnecke's administration was a key partner in both projects.
"Recognition received by Lt. Governor Suzanne Crouch and the Indiana Affordable Housing Council (IAHC) speaks volumes to the tremendous level of collaboration between the private sector, not-for-profits and local government in our city," Mayor Winnecke said.
The Winnecke Administration, along with Rundell Ernstberger Associates, also recently received a Merit Award from the American Society of Landscape Architects in the Design — Constructed Works Category for the Jacobsville Complete Streets North Main Street Revitalization project.
