Community Development is a function of the Management and Community Development staff.

The staff oversees the administration, monitoring, financial management, and citizen participation aspects of the following federal programs:

• Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program
• Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG)
• HOME Investment Partnerships (HOME) programs
• Other grant programs

The Management and Community Development staff also participate in:

• Number of community networks and programs
  
  • Neighborhood Association meetings
  • Re-entry Committee
  • Affordable Housing Fund Advisory Committee
  • Citizen Advisory Committee
  • Commission on Homelessness
• Attending/conducting on-going training and technical assistance
• Staying informed and educated on regional, state and federal level initiatives and development strategies to bring viable new Community Development programs to Evansville
