SPECIAL OPERATIONS & PLANNING

Special Operations coordinates the activities of the Evansville Fire Department (EFD) Hazardous Materials, Dive, Rope, Confined Space, and Technical Rescue Teams.  The Planning Section assists the Chief to develop or manage significant planning efforts as directed or required.  EFD participates with a number of Public Safety Partners to develop Safety & Security Incident Action Plans for significant events.  Those Public Safety Partners include:  Evansville Police Department, Vanderburgh County Sheriff’s Department, American Medical Response, Vanderburgh County Suburban Fire Departments, Vanderburgh County Central Dispatch, Vanderburgh County Emergency Management Agency, Indiana National Guard 53^rd Civil Support Team, and other State & Federal Agencies.
